Today we visited the Sequoia trees in the Mariposa Grove. We learned that they are the largest trees in the world by volume. Fire is as much a necessity as water to these trees. We visited the Grizzly Giant, which is the biggest tree in the Grove, as well as the Bachelor and Three Graces. Our interpretive tour was led by Park Ranger Chris Raines and three UCMerced Yosemite Leadership Program interns! Thank you for a fantastic visit under the trees! – Brandon
