The greatest accomplishment for this group was completing the first expedition. Many of us found ourselves immediately outside our comfort zone, but soon found home in the woods. This site has been my favorite so far.

Finding Our Way In Yosemite by Learning Maps
On our first expedition, we learned how to orient ourselves using topographical maps. We could see the steepness of mountians and the flow of rivers on our two-dimensional maps. We followed a bearing using a compass and we arrived at our destination: Yosemite Falls!
