We have a lot of news to share with you as we approach the end of the year:
(1) Holiday Apparel Sale Closes Tomorrow – If you haven’t already purchased an ARC t-shirt, mask, or hoodie for yourself or a loved one, you only have until tomorrow to make your purchases! ARC’s apparel sale is open until 11:59PM on December 1st. Buy your ARC apparel now!
(2) ARC Community Leadership Programming Continues Successfully – We have been facilitating our Community Leadership programming in Tahoe/Truckee, Firebaugh, and Dos Palos, despite the challenges that COVID-19 has presented.There are four Community Leadership cohorts that meet weekly (outdoors and online) for leadership workshops, and 41 students have participated in the program this fall.
(3) Outdoor Leadership Fund Meets $10,000 Goal – We are very excited to announce that the $5,000 commitment from ARC’s Board of Directors for the Outdoor Leadership Fund was doubled by generous donations this month. We now have over $10,000 available to ARC alumni and aspiring ARC instructors for their professional development.
(4) #GivingTuesday Fundraiser Happening Now – We are raising money this #GivingTuesday for our Community Leaders Scholarships. The recipients of the scholarship are young people who have (1) completed our month-long literacy and leadership summer course; and (2) who have successfully graduated from a follow-up year of leadership opportunities and ARC outdoor adventures. Our goal is to raise at least one $1,000 scholarship by the end of the day tomorrow. Follow these instructions to share our Facebook Fundraiser with your contacts.
