We have a new video that highlights three exceptional ARC siblings: Issac, Iran and Arturo Pacheco!  The video was filmed by Nick Cahill, a graduate of Sierra Nevada University and former student of ARC’s founder, Katie Zanto. Nick is a videographer and photographer, whose work has been highlighted on the cover of National Geographic. Watch the new ARC video now!

In the video, you’ll hear about the power of ARC’s programs in the words of Arturo, Iran, and Isaac. Arturo says, “I came back from [the ARC summer] with hope and believing that I could do something extraordinary.” His sister, Iran, saw this in her brother as well, “I definitely noticed that he came back a much happier, more empathetic, more responsible individual.” She added, “And I said, hey, I want that for me too. That would be awesome. I definitely want to try that….”

Iran continues by saying, “Whatever you’re going through they help you. They’re there to listen like a second family. I’ve always said that ARC is like my second family because I felt all the comfort I get from my family members with ARC. On top of that, you’re doing some incredible activities. You go rafting, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, and camping under the stars.” Arturo participated in ARC’s Tahoe summer course in 2019, followed by Iran in 2020, and Isaac in 2021.

After spending a month in the wilderness with ARC, the siblings describe gaining more confidence, feeling greater comfort in leadership positions, and being more driven to get outside. If you know of any current California or Reno high school students who would be interested in experiencing these same feelings of growth and transformation this summer, our application is available online now! The month-long summer courses launch June 27th and wrap up August 6th. Please share the application and forward along the video! Applications are due on Friday, April 22.
